OPP System
The Over Pressure Protection (OPP) is an Emergency Shut Down (ESD) system that can be applied to any quarter turn equipment, as the ball valve series. It is designed to automatically, without any human intervention, close the valve when a specified pressure is reached, preventing the over fill / over pressure and subsequent burst of the containing parts of a vessel. The closing system is exclusively mechanical to avoid any pneumatic or electric energy enhancing the safety of the systems.
