Application

C2H6O
- Ethanol -

Ethanol (C2H6O) is a chemical compound of carbon (C) hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) and it is obtained through the fermentation of the sugars present in vegetables.

It is water soluble, and it is member of a group of organic chemicals called alcohols (ethyl alcohol). Ethanol has a melting point of 114.1°C and a boiling point of 78.2°C. It is a biofuel used to reduce pollutant emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. It is also used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food beverage industries and in cleaning chemicals.

C2H6O service comes with some challenges as high flammability and reactivity. Vinco ball valves are designed to operate in ethanol service with high levels of tightness, fire safe design incorporated and compatible materials to ensure chemical compatibility, safety and reliability.
