Application
LPG
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas -
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is mainly a mixture of hydrocarbon as propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10) with high energy density.
It is obtained by cooling the petroleum gas to –42 oC reducing its volume approximately by 250 times. This operation is extremely important to enhance the storage and transportation efficiency.
LPG service comes with some challenges as low temperatures, rapid expansion and fugitive emissions potentially harmful to the end-users. Vinco ball valves are designed to operate in LPG service with high levels of tightness, upstream relief system and fugitive emissions resistance to ensure high levels of safety.
