Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a cryogenic fluid mainly composed by methane (CH4) in liquid state. It is obtained by cooling the natural gas to -162 ºC reducing its volume approximately by 600 times.
This operation is extremely important to enhance the storage and transportation efficiency. LNG service comes with some challenges as flammability and extremely low temperatures. Vinco ball valves are designed to operate in cryogenic service up to -196 ºC with high levels of tightness and fire safe design incorporated.
